New York's electricity comes from 70% natural gas. New Yorkers have seen a 40 to 120% increase in their electricity bills this winter. September 2021 the governor of NY signed a bill promising by 2035 only electric cars will be sold in NY. Simple economics. As demand rises and supply dwindles prices will rise and the perceived advantage of EV's will dwindle.
So if you don’t like the policies imposed by the publicly elected governor, are you displeased with him or the majority of your neighbors that elected him? Seems like politics to me.
Didn't I read something about no new houses to be built with natural gas ? So they want you to use expensive electric heat using electricity made by burning natural gas instead.
Until everyone has solar panels on their roofs, or other means of making electricity ( wind, hydroelectric, etc) the power plants are making electricity. How are those powered? Lots of natural gas.
None of it makes any sense. More electric stuff that the power grid can't handle, More and more batteries that will have to be disposed of after a few years. I really don't think they are prepared for the long term effect of all this. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
Its not that they are prepared, its just that they DO NOT CARE! its all about the $$$$$ big bucks, bottom line.
Most of the "neighbors" you refer to live several hours east of where I live. Just sayin.. Dump everything east of Albany.
