Almost time to call it a night. Taking it easy right now. I took care of things last night for the storm so I didn’t have to do it tonight in this nasty stuff that’s going on out there. Went and filled two diesel and two gas about 8:30 last night. Just to add to the stock in case we have an outage. And because I’ll burn up some diesel plowing snow tomorrow. Wife and kids hoping for a snow day tomorrow to add on to their vacation. Now calling for 3-9” overnight.

Caffeine! Slept in a while this morning because no one had to go out. Schools closed. Kinda nasty outside with it snowing and some wind still blowing. I think I’ll wait until the snow finishes before I fire up the Kubota RTV and get the plowing done. Forecast says it should be done by 10. You hoarders have some fun today and…..HEY! Let’s be careful out there.

The snow and wind will begin sometime in the next 2 hours here. Glad I did some errands yesterday.

I don't miss driving in snowing/blowing weather at all.

Slippery conditions underneath the snow. But this little workhorse is getting it done no problem. Snow falling is now done. About halfway through the cleanup. My wife and kids got an extra day on there midwinter break today. Closed the schools.

Nope. Just a bag the prior owner left in it with insurance cards in it.

Now if it were 37 years ago…..

Hidey ho fellow hoarders and hoard-ettes.  Can't keep up w/ y'all in this thread, it moves pretty quick. Click in and I'm 10-15 pages behind. Hope everyone is doing well.

I just tracked down a 31.5" Husqvarna hookaroon that was in stock @ an Alabama shop. Ordered it and 2 12" Husky log tongs. Hope it helps keep me and dad from bending over so frequently. I've read a lot of good things on both here on the forum.

I read about some farmers renting their goats out to clear property of brush and poison Ivy. Sounds like a good business if you can get in on it. There was a time I wanted a goat, but my wife outvoted me. She was right, don't tell her I said that. Good luck with the kids.

Love that V plow. I bet you are not sorry to have bought that machine. Real work horse for someone who has land and animals to look after.

I was very happy to find it. And jumped on it as soon as I saw it. An older model machine, but with extremely low hours. Diesel to boot. A new one, with this plow, would be more than double what I paid for this one.

So far been using it to plow snow and pull our wagon full of manure and dirty hay. And move a few things here to there. 5F463A06-EC64-4A9F-9FDF-ABA5864D78B8.jpeg
I can’t wait to fetch some freshly cut firewood with it! Come on Spring!!!!!!

I like that trailer also. Heavy duty, and looks to be easy on the back when you move it about by hand.

I think goats will chew on about anything they can get into their mouths. I would have to keep any eye on them every second.

    Yeah really cute lil guys.

Now my wife is looking to see if we can legally keep goats here. I'm sure you can. We can now keep chickens.

It's dumping snow here. For now at least. We're getting snow squalls with zero visibility. As of early this evening, the ground was bare, all snow melted. It's going to get up to 50° Sunday. So it might all melt. Before we get a storm early next week. They are actually saying we'll get 6" of snow out of that next storm. We'll see.

They are back out now. They were in long enough to get dry since it is pretty cold.
