My wife got me one for Christmas and I love it! So far I have used it when unloading logs from the back of my truck (I don't have to climb up there anymore... stick a log, pull it towards the back of the bed and take it away), to maneuver larger logs and to pick up smaller logs without bending down all the way. Curious as to how others use theirs! Thanks!

I use mine mostly to drag wood to within reach in the back of the pickup or trailer.

Pretty much the same way, pick rounds or splits from the bed or up off the ground, didn't like it at first, seemed unwieldy but got use to it and it's better than bent over or climbing.

I mostly use it to roll rounds to the splitter and roll logs to finish cuts.

I've used them for years on the sawmill, they are great back savers! work well for moving small logs around while getting them ready for the mill.
Lots of times a peavy is useless with small wood, so it's either do it all by hand or use the hookaroon...now if I could only find mine.....☹

I use mine the same way, but mostly to unload PU. My current truck is a few inches taller than my prior so it reached from the sides as well as the end. I had never heard of or seen such a tool until i joined FHC.

Made mine from a broken Fiskars X27 axe handle and a carriage bolt ground to a point. Very handy tool.

I use my hookaroon to pull wood out from brush. When I roll rounds down hill they usually find a place to hide, usually in the thick part of wild blackberry bushes.

I don't use mine for lifting or carrying but many times I'll use it rather than a cant hook. It works great for rolling logs, either firewood length or even longer logs.

I also use it to pick up brush rather than asking my poor back to be bending over. When splitting wood (I sit while splitting) I can reach for wood using one. I've often thought it could also be very handy as a weapon! Imagine sticking a coon or other animal with one.

I did that with my broken Fiskars also, mine needs a bit more sharpening but it works.

They work great for that also, hook it in a fork & pick it right up. I like to use mine limbing, just hook a fork & drag them out of the way.

Not to detract from the original reason for this thread, but don't Fiskars usually have a lifetime warranty?

Yes, they will send you a new one; just send them a picture & short explanation online.
No reason to waste that handle though, 10-15 minutes & you have another weapon in your firewood arsenal or looting stick whatever your state of mind or personal preference is.

Use mine same or similar to everyone else. Unloading truck, picking rounds up off ground to the splitter, stacking splits, dragging logs(burning or not). Real handy tool. And yeah, I think since I’ve been back on the forum and active since about November I’ve seen 3 or 4 buZZsaw BRAD broken fiskars threads!!!
