Strike while you can!

Been wanting a big saw for a while. Nobody has anything around me in stock. One dealer has all but stopped carrying husqvarna and pushes echo instead. Another dealer hasn’t gotten a husqvarna saw in almost two years. Couldn’t find anything online for sale. Haven’t seen anything close enough to me that’s used that appears in good enough shape or the right price point. Called the dealer I’ve done most of my business through yesterday to see what the turnaround was for ordering a husqvarna saw to getting it in stock, and they’re the ones who told me they haven’t gotten a husqvarna saw in almost two years. That dealer also deals Stihl, and he says dealers seem to have a decent supply of the homeowner and farm grade saws which they say are made in the US, but pro grade either brand are scarce if not extinct! I’m talking to him on the phone and he says, “it’s pretty crazy you called today because we just got a call from our supplier a few days ago saying they had some husqvarna pro saws they could send us, so I told them to send whatever they could” Pretty awesome the way God worked it out! I’d stopped in there a few times over the last year or so and seen the bare racks, and to call within just a few days of him getting the call that saws were on the way! Pretty sweet! Had my heart set on a 390xp, which was one of the saws he got in, and figured I’d better strike while I had the chance and pick up something else too, so I got the 550xp as well!

Definitely had been setting aside for it, and believe it or not, when I told my wife the story about them having the 390xp, she said I should see if I could get another one if they had another one that would fit my needs. I’m still like

Score! You did good I think. Equipment is getting hard to come by. Firewood is selling well with higher heating fuel prices, they'll pay for themselves.

 

I saw that brad! Pretty awesome looking saws and always feels better to have some extra tools in the Arsenal!

 

I have a 550xp myself,
Very nice saw.

I don't own any large Huskys but often tossed the idea around.
Maybe I should put it on the bucket list.
