“New”, maybe not right now. Prices of new are cray cray. I currently have a Husky 350 w/ a very talented builder and he’s going to port a 346 piston/cylinder and put on it. They are a plastic case homeowner saw and when you put the pro-grade XP cylinder on it, they become crazy in the power to weight ratio, magnify that after full blown port work.
Plus I still like having the ability to completely fix any issue. W/ these new saws, you may require a visit to your dealer to plug it in for software reading/data download.

Nice find Brad, I would say you did alright. I don’t really care to run a 28” bar on my 462, it seems to like a 25” better with its higher rpm’s & av setup It’s not that it won’t run it but my 440/460 seems to do better with the 28” bar.

Certainly agree with this. Easier to cut straight with the pivot pressure on both sides!

    Thanks JB!

Ran the 20" Oregon bar on it today. Honestly didnt need it but wanted to give it a run. Ill probably run only the 25" as needed. It had a full skip chain on the 28" bar it came with. Ill keep the chain and sell the bar. Dont need two. Itll be hard to grab the 462 when i have a 500i. Hard to grab any other saw when one owns a 500i! :saw:Ask me how i know this?

Thinking my 22" bar is no good (bent) i was considering a 24" Sugihara or Tsumura bar instead.

These are a nice set to have. To me, the ms261c just feels like a lightweight Mini Me version of my 462 which is perfect.

I like the style of these by custom chainsaw parts. Orange anodized would be my preference.

congrats on you new saws Brad. So after getting rid of your old carb saws will you now have all newer electronic saws?

Those MS460's are some good saws I do not think I would let mine go.

    They are in great condition.

I’ve been eyeing the ms400. But for not much more I can get a 462. The fact that I’m looking means one will be mine at some point.

That’s a great deal on both! The 462 I was looking at was used but supposedly only one tank through it. It looked minty. Had the 28” ES light bar and chain and a second new 28” chain, brochure, etc… and he wanted $1200.00, then raised the price to $1400 which kills the deal. I thought $1200 was on the high side, but it appeared new.

    nice job with these two…!
