    Good morning, everyone.

Crazy day ahead. Currently 48⁰ and raining. We're forecasted to drop below freezing and keep raining for several hours. Potential for 1/4 inch of ice.

No plans to head out. I hope I don't get any.

    Be safe
    Be healthy

Good morning and happy Friday. We warmed up over night from -5f at 9PM to -1f right now with some light snow on the way. It was -15f, and -41f up near International Falls yesterday morning. We are warming up to the 30s next week.

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. 65° and rain started @ 5AM. Hearing a little thunder off in the distance... Screenshot_20220204-052241.png
We're on the edge right now, but it's coming.
I'm on my days off, going to have taxes done this morning, then taking my hunny on a lunch date. Might need to find her some warm clothes for our upcoming MI trip.
    Be encouraging, share a smile.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

Looks like ice and sleet peeking out the door here in Southern Vermont @ 21 degrees.
I had taken advantage of the warm thawing weather the day before yesterday and moved the splitter inside the shop before it got recovered in ice and snow.
Yesterday, I stayed in the shop most of the day working on it(modifications) with the exception of using the tractor to break up ice on the driveway at dusk.

About 1 facecord of 2yr old hardwood left in the shed. We’ve burnt 3 cords so far between the two stoves. Then we will be into the stack that was CSS in 2020 September. 16 months. Last time I checked it was average at 17%. Not quite on the 3 year plan yet.
    To all a good day.

Good morning, brother. What mods are you doing to the splitter?

I’m adding a receiver hitch tongue extension out to end of catch table. That way I can install a wheel jack in the shop to roll it around and remove the hitch.

Also dropped the catch table down to rest on the extension to give me some room for a hydraulic adjustable wedge hopefully in the near future.

I had already lifted the splitter 8” so I had to make a new leg to match.

And though I have the boom/tongs for lifting, I’m prepping to make a hydraulic log lift. I like the idea of having that table to preload rounds and work off of.

Pictures to come after I clean up the mess, destroy the evidence of mistakes, & grind and paint all my welds!

Morning All. Pouring rain this morning and curling on the TV. I am headed into work for a couple of hours as we have report cards to package and mail. Not a day to be outside. For those facing ice storms today, stay safe.

    Everyone have a great day.

Happy Friday! Temps are moving up, currently at 11F. Partially sunny. Snow has stopped so we're staying cold for a couple days. I made a path back to the processing center with the skid steer last night. All the wood is buried in snow so I probably won't get much done for a few days. Probably some grocery shopping in the near future. Along with digging out the roadside firewood stand. Have a God day!

Looks like only 9"-10" in the driveway so it wasn't bad to clean up. I found over 18" in places in the yard so I'm not sure what the official total is.
