I haven't chewed Red Man in almost 10 years, but now I want to get a bag just to hang on to before they're all gone. :)

That's funny   I never tried it strangely enough. Started with Camel Snus years ago, for situations where I couldn't sneak out for a smoke. Couldn't stand Copenhagen or Skoal with all that fine tobacco getting stuck in my teeth. Eventually drifted over to Red Man golden blend and kept that up for a couple years before ditching the chew, the cigarettes and cigars altogether. I don't miss the smokes but I still vividly remember that wonderful head rush from chewing :wacky:

Red Man or Levi Garrett were my go to’s for loose leaf & Kodiak was my choice for cut tobacco. The long cut stayed packed better than the fine stuff. Skoal & Copenhagen came out with long cut but I wasn’t impressed. Plus everyone one else was using Skoal or Copenhagen so I never had anyone bumming a chew from me. I used various plug tobaccos occasionally also. It’s been over 18 years since I chewed but still occasionally get a hankering to buy a can when I see it behind the counter.

I chewed the bear for 30 years. Quit 2 years ago. Liked some red man on occasion. I do miss it. And you’re right on people not bumming the kodiak. A couple friends chewed it but most people around here chew skoal or that grizzly junk.

My father chewed Black Mariah way back in the early 60s. I was 6 or 7 years old and was always bumming a chew off him. He finally got out his pocket knife and cut me off a small piece. I remember the earth started spinning in circles just before I hit the ground.
    Never asked for another chew.
