Pretty bad when he’s turning down seasoned black locust for green poplar! At least he’s not eager to take your seasoned, worked hard for firewood. Hopefully he’ll At least catch on to preparing for the next burning season.

Thanks Brad! I haven’t been as regular as I’d like or should be this fall on the forum....priorities, right? I’m happy to hoard as often as he would like. I’ll be happy if he can just put away what he needs for the next burning season! He’s not afraid of hard work, just a matter of prioritizing time.

Talk about being committed! I know part of my brother jumping on board is because I have all the stuff for procuring the firewood. He has a ms170, a 1/2 ton dodge truck, and a splitting maul. I’m happy to have him benefit from the stuff I have and happy to share what works well for me. It would be a lot harder for him to start if he were in the same bot you were when you started The Wood Wolverine

I'm amazed at how resistant some people are to straightforward reason.

I stopped in at the store I go to on the way to work the other day and when reaching in my pocket to pay I dropped a coin on the floor and it rolled under a display stand. If it's a nickel or dime I'll usually just leave it.
I steeped back and saw it was a quarter and blurted out to the guy behind the counter, "Oh, it's a quarter. I'll bend over for a quarter!"
Then I said, " let me correct myself, I'll pick up a quarter!"

Might wanna watch that...might actually burn hot enough to get all that creosote in the chimney hot enough to light off!
Probably didn't adjust the air on the stove any differently, so it just blew all the extra extra heat up the chimney...then he thought "see, that dry wood just burns up too quick!" :picard: :headbang:
