We ended up with ~18 inches. My recently serviced snowblower performed like new. Here's what earned me a cold beer Looking up the driveway. We usually park side by side up at the top One of my yard paths is at the top. Then left or right? Right goes to the deck. Left to the woodyard Turning around Let's go to the woodyard Turn right. That shed is where the birdseed is kept. Further down, the compost bins Turning right I don't have to snowblow the whole woodyard. Just to the stacks I'll be drawing from. There's 2 racks on the right. 3.5yrs sleeping red oak The 2 racks on the left with the criss-cross ends. More red oak that's ready to wake up Just beyond the cone, is a chunk storage bin,, that's a work in progress. Hardware cloth doesn't stop sideways snow. The screenhouse is to my back. Yard paths. On the other side of the house, more yard paths. This one turns left where the propane and fuel oil pipes are. Using the deck, I like to be able to walk around the house perimeter And this short path is to a rack of ready red oak. It's there in case for some reason I can't gain access to the woodyard Thanks for looking, and have a great rest of you day!
Looks good Mike That’s a lot of snow to push around. We had it easy here in central Connecticut. If I got 7” here at home I’d be surprised. You’ve inspired me to go shovel a path to my stacks now! There’s some apple out back that I’ll have to bring in soon.
That's a well thought out & executed plan to get to stuff Mike. Way better to deal with stuff now so it's ready later and accessible when needed. Nice pics, looks like a nice day after the storm.
So you werent too keen on Kenan? Thats a lot of snow. At least light and fluffy. I spent an hour plus shoveling and cleaning off PU. Other car in the shop. Landlord plowed late yesterday afternoon. Maybe 6" here. Back out now to put bundles together. Delivery later. Coffee for me!
Wow mike! Looks like you had a beautiful day for the cleanup nice work on clearing the snow and making everything accessible again.
I'd guess once every two years and that is usually very minor. A 'big' snow like last February? Maybe once each 8-10 years. That big un was 5 inches, lol. But, wow, it hung around over a week, it was -1* temp low, record of my lifetime.
Looking good. We got right around a foot here in my part of south Jersey. Spent the entire weekend plowing.
We got right about a foot here. I know Boston got about 24" and Sharon MA got 30". For all the hype I was left disappointed and wanting more.
Sorry Mike looks like we will have to wait a week or so to get together for some wood processing. The trails are under 20-22” of snow. Here are my trails in the snow from this weekend. Path to the barn and the chicken coop. Path to feed the wild birds Path to feed the wild critters out back trailer with the tops from the maple not split yet. a sad sight no fire wood hoarding today.♂️
