    Light snow, Wind is picking up. Took dogs for a walk in the woods and it was a refreshing cold. If that makes any sense.

    Weather hacks were spot on. It's 17 out(w/a wind chill feel of 6), 73 in. Mix of chestnut and red oaks. Probably switch to mulberry next load.

    Was up a few times last night and the lowest I saw was 7. Dog finally rousted me at 8 and it's up to 8. Boiler is running in both zones set on 68 and 70. Have some ash and silver maple catching for the day burn.

    From what I saw before I called it a night, we had a low of - 18.7. I had both the pellet and wood stove going in the basement overnight, the living room temp this morning was 69 and the bedroom at 66. The temp this morning after one cup of coffee was - 9.4.

    We're back burning just the wood stove today, the forecast temp tonight is - 11.

    Blue ridge parkway near Groundhog mountain was 12 degrees this morning. 5-6” of snow yesterday and last night. Up to 19 now with 30 mph winds. Burning oak in Fisher insert 70 degrees inside.

    It's 11 here now with light snow. Not supposed to warm up much the rest of the day. I am burning beech and red oak, and the house is comfy.

    Well, done snowing, now just blowing! Weather channel say's we "officially" got 15" here. My wooden outside work table pretty much confirms that.
    Came in to eat some lunch, Grandma cooking away at about 350º just put on another 2 big oak splits, down stairs 82º right now.

    Ya, u guys are having winter there ! Stay safe, Think , before you do !!!
    See anyone with white spots on their face or hands, get them in someplace warm ! !
    A lot of people don't realize what's going on with them , they just know their face got numb.
    Currently 0°F ambient temperature here.
    Just threw in 2 rounds of black Spruce.
    Winds fairly calm.
    Hope everyone is having a good Sabbath.
    It is my goal to NOT touch a snow shovel all day. Shoveling off people's roofs is A Lot of work in my 60s.
