Haven't been on in a bit our Chinook ended and it went down to 20 below then it came up to singles above and below. Still shoveling roofs for people and wishing I could find time toget my plow truck running . Burning seasoned , dry , White Spruce and aspen.
No snow coming here through the next five days. We just got through some -15f to -20f air for morning temps, and now in the single digits to low teens until 20s and low 30s through Monday. Then the bottom falls out again. With the insert we are keeping the house 68-71f which is perfect for us, otherwise we are too warm.
Got gas? For the snowblower? Keep us posted on the snowmageddon that all the weather folks are going crazy over.
-12 tonight and tomorrow nights low is -8, it has been a cold month of January for our area but we haven't received the snow we usually get.
Getting chilly out 7 °F right now at 9:00 PM weather guessers say -2 °F for the low tonight , ash in the Republic at the moment
under twenty tonight. Throwing some hickory and recently split white oak looks like this weekend is catch up time. I estimate two weeks of wood remaining. My dangerous, partially cut through ash is still standing. If it falls, I am in spades.
We have - 11.3 already with the pellet stove going in the basement, I'll load up the wood stove around 10 with some Maple and Ironwood. The temp here in the living room is hanging at 70 and the bedroom at 67.
11° now. Going down to 4° tonight. Ash in the quadrafire now. Apple and honey locust later for overnight.
We're only down to 21F... but feels much colder. These up and down temperature swings... 81F in the house... Just loaded up with Hedge for the night burn.... Just lit the smoker for two boston butts. We'll see how the GMG handles these temps.... ....
We had just enough snow to make things white. Low tonight of 8F, threw in some red oak and hickory for the night time burn.
Our temp keeps dropping, we're at -14.7. I loaded up the Lopi with Red and Sugar Maple with two splits and two rounds of Ironwood on the top row. The basement was 84 with just the pellet stove going before I loaded up the wood stove. Up here in the living room it's 71 and 67 in the bedroom.
It's 8 outside 68 inside the Alderlea is loaded with two nice elm round with a piece of split hickory between them. Taking a load of oak to my wife's grandmother tomorrow then working on some of the green logs I dumped next to the wood pile this week.
