I got my tanks filled the first week of June. .97 a gallon Called yesterday and it is now at 2.38 a gallon. Almost exactly 2 1/2 times more!! What address do I put on the thank you card? How much in your area?
I haven't bought any in a couple years but I think it was right around $1.75. My neighbor said he paid $2.60/gallon last week.
I paid 1.69 (easy fellers) a gallon mid September. It’s at 3.69 a gallon right now. Demand always drives up the price in the winter. Fortunately we only have to fill the 500 gallon pig once a year. The previous home owner didn’t rely on wood heat and paid the gas man 1-2 times a month throughout the 6 month heating season. 100-400 a month! Sure makes firewood pretty appealing.
I keep monthly logs of LP cost in winter. 2020: January: 1.50 February: 1.50 March: 1.50 April: 1.20 May: 1.20 October: 1.04 November: 1.04 December: 1.55 2021: January: 1.55 February: 1.85 March: 2.00 April: 1.80 May: 1.50 October: 2.10 November: 2.10 December: 2.10 2022: January: 2.00
I just hope you are not with UP Propane…. I’ve heard they are out of gas… and so are some of their customers….
I have a small tank for LP around100 gallons. I have heard it called a "pig". We use LP for cooking and a small gas heater in our basement we run once in a while. Last fill for that was just over $4 per gallon. The less you use the more you pay per gallon. What a rip off.
