I got three full black trailer loads of logs, main log going for railroad ties

Likely a pick up load of saw dust till I get it processed

That is a big tree for sure. Too bad the main trunk could not be milled for something a little nicer than railroad ties. But they need railroad ties too.

It was pin oak so I don’t think it’s good for much else, other than firewood

It had a fair amount of deadwood, and had heavier growth towards those apartments, so they just decided to have it removed

    glad the ground was frozen

What was the rope attached to? Was it used to pull it over or just as an insurance policy?

It was tied to a big loader and mini loader linked together. I think of course wedged and tree jacked on back side. But it was on the ground when I got there. They texted me picture they took before dropping.

That is a biggun! Pin oak not the most pleasant smelling of the oaks, but great firewood. Any metal/staining from metal found in the trunk?

That's a nice one, straight trunk. Lots of firewood in the loads you brought home.

Does the “U.P.” in your avatar stand for the other big class 1 by any chance?
