Got the first big boy all cut up , as mush as I am. Gonna start tomorrow getting the wood out and next door to the splitter. Also a photo of the next one to go , hopefully by the weekend I can have her horizontal. Measured over 11’5” circumference. Hoard on!! That’s a sweet sight.

Should be about 42” diameter. Do you have enough bar for it?

I have a 25” , did the last one with a 20 and it was 39.25” so should be good. Maybe an excuse to buy a bigger one.....

Save some misery with splitting that big crotch and block that baby up with the saw.....

    Nice score right there!

Lots of good wood! Just to clarify, I think you mean 11 ft circumference, not diameter.... If it's 11 ft diameter (DBH), I have no doubt you're gonna need a bigger saw....

Yes it would! You would have to send out a "calling all hands, and saws" for a major GTG!

Got a few of the rounds split up today. Man I got spoiled on that light weight Ash !! These oak rounds are no joke. Been a couple years since I have tackled oak this big. Feeling my age this afternoon, I usually work until dark but I am already in the recliner! Wife made homemade chicken noodle soup so we are gonna pig out and start watching that Yellowstone show with Costner tonight. 062BE02F-1D6D-4A5C-9C2A-5C00C4D82A5C.jpeg F3DB3A4D-01E8-4334-A759-6F2819E20416.jpeg EA596086-3413-4FE9-B348-C3250C1021EF.jpeg

Have any pics of the largest round? I've found with the monsters, I have to noodle down pretty far to be able to move around the 6-8 chunks per round.

I think this was the biggest one , and the stump. I had to quarter them up to about 12’ up the tree. Still very heavy in quarters. F4E48773-300C-4CE4-88C5-2D2353FD9564.jpeg 108D86B6-CC2B-49DF-8EBC-C81171EEA1CB.jpeg
