Haven't had any in years, doubt if I could find it in MT(grew up in MD), but, you just had to bring it up!!
Just ordered 6 cans, raisin, 27 bucks, delivered. Not bad for out here. More realistic to use for British "beans and toast" also.:D

Look at what I started. Got the cans today. The back reads to use some b&m beans for a treat, really? Are the beans different than others? My 2 regular non raisins cost 11 bucks.

    Now to find some moxie.

I always have 3 or 4 cans stashed in the back of the cupboard for emergencies like the zombie apocalypse. Survival food.:beerbbq:

I'm not able to do anything about ice and snow. Lucky for me, my son who lives upstairs, does all the outside upkeep. I am lucky enough to be able to go outside with the dog. I can get to the car, but that is all . Sons sands the driveway. We are trying to avoid any salt or chemicals. We don't want it on the dogs feet. We get the sand from the town. I know there is some salt in it, but very little by volume. I also have some stove ash, but I don't want that where the dogs walk because I don't want them tracking it into the house.

The iconic B&M bean plant in Portland Me has been sold. It stopped production and the equipment is being taken out. I think the name brand will continue, but it won't be the original bean.

Don't remember exactly it was a few weeks ago, but yes I believe it is less than $3.

It was too early for me to remember, but my roots are in Pennsylvania and my parents moved us here. We used to visit my grandfather in Philly where I was treated to Taylors pork roll and scrapple, neither of which I can get here and have not had in a very very long time.:(

Same here, the sand from the town doesn't have much salt in it. All the sand I out down Sunday helped with yesterday's slightly warmer temps and full sunshine.

Got a little over an inch last night. If I had pavement, I may have just left it, but I was out there at 4:30am shoveling and wearing the Stabilicer Maxx for traction (well worth the xtra $$ over the Stabilicer Walk) . The ice is much less but still there-good progress though. Suppose to be over 30 deg today before cold comes back in and predicting a foot this Saturday. This shiveling also helped find the ice chunks frozen to the driveway left behind-used a 5lb hammer on those so the sn*w blower doesnt catch them cleaning up this weekend.

I prefer home made. My wife is an excellent cook btw. Hard to beat her bean soup with ham chunks in it. Nothing goes to waste here.

back in the 'Global Warming' dumper again this AM. it's 14 dropping to 8 today. Got a little snow cover, cleaned the drives (all 3 of them) but I just used the front end loader on the cabbed tractor so I could remain warm the whole time and enjoy a CD too. Sure am glad I don't live on the leeward side of the Great Lakes. Buffalo, Erie and the eastern counties in Ohio are getting hammered with lake effect snow. I'll pass on all that. Same deal for western Michigan (Grand Rapids, Muskegon and points east from Lake Michigan lake effect.

Prevailing winds here are usually out of the west blowing east and we are far enough east in Michigan that the snow has dissipated before the cloud cover gets here.

Drove into Portland a month or 2 ago-very weird seeing that place empty and being taken apart now.

Kind of like the Hilltop restaurant that I grew up with one Rte 1 in Saugus Mass. The iconic landmark sign is sign is still there but its now a strip mall of some sort and apartments.

Weather reports saying forecasting models show good possibility for a nor'easter all day Sat with heavy bands of snow across eastern NH, more so in SE NH. Yay, get to put on my storm trooper suit.
