Perfect weather for splitting/stacking

    It was 25 deg. this morning and no wind perfect for firewood work. Had the rounds from the white oak I cut last week and the tops from a few red oaks. I use the tractor to lift the large rounds to the splitter if I only have a few. Of course if I had a bunch it would be done the (Back Woods )way vertical.

    I am sitting inside enjoying the fruits of my labor on a cold Sunday. There are some freshly cut rounds that I could run out and load into the front loader.

    you are giving me the bug, but the temperature is 20 degrees warmer tomorrow. It can wait

    I wouldn't recommend jointing before running saws, maybe after your done but not before.:smoke: :whistle:

    I did some hand splitting yesterday and today...yesterday in the teens, today 30 or 31.
    It was nice to buck large pieces, and swing the maul for a few hours. Perfect weather.
