I'm trying to get more light in my little work shop and seen these at Lowes, anyone use them?
My eyes aren't what they used to be, and $h!T is getting harder to see and read when I reload :zip::headbang:.
Some of the reviews are Ok, but a few are iffy. Thoughts folks? Give me your scoop!

Ive seen them... never used one though.
I buy 8' fixtures with diffusers to spread the light out.
LED's are hard on your eyes without diffusers!!

if you have the height they probably will be ok but over the bench like the pic on the box shows and I think it will give you a headache plus a ton of shadows.
I have a couple of the 8' menards ones in my garage and so far not bad. Basically a row of little leds and a frosted diffuser.

My shop is small and the light will be over my head as I'm reloading. I have a couple LED's daylight now, but without rewiring some new fixtures in, I don't quite have enough light. Figured these are a quick fix.

You can get the long ones with just a cord and plug so you can dodge the hard wiring.

Noted! I had 2 of the 4' fluorescenet fixtures like that but I kept breaking the dam tubes with stuff in the shop... :headbang::picard::hair: I finally took them down, and one ballast went bad, thats when I went back to the screw in bulbs.
My little shop is only 16' x 12'

I have one in my basement where there is only one lighting fixture in the ceiling, and it does a very good job. Being able to adjust the angle of the 'petals' helps put the light where you need it. I think it is a good product.

I bought a few on the internet about a year ago and absolutely love them. I have since bought some others at Menards. I probably have 7 all together, with six in my garage. Sure does light up the place and minimize needing to use extra lights to illuminate the workspace. One particular light hangs in my mechanical room in my basement. I have struggled with lighting this space and the light's fins can turn and swivel to direct light in areas that a typical light bulb will not do. Yes, I am sure mine were all made in China...However, they continue to perform well. I guess time will tell.

I’ve been using one, but not that specific brand. It is awesome. Wish I had more. If I recall correctly I paid $25 bucks and I’d do it again.

These are mega bright. We have friends that are much older that put these in most of their fixtures. They are blindingly harsh. For a shop light, yes. Not in your kitchen though.

Some things you can choose on where it's made, some not. These are disposable things. I don't see North American made products attempting to compete with items like this.

I have a couple of the 4' LED shop lights and they are great! Until you forget about them and look up towards the ceiling.....

I also bought one of those LED fold down panels like the very first post shows. I just never used it anywhere yet; it's still sitting in the box!
