.....that make all that hard work of climbing, cutting, loading, hauling home, unloading, splitting, stacking, waiting patiently for the wood to season several years, bringing it in the house, and finally loading the stove up worth it!

Our weather station has one sensor outside, one in the living room where the Napoleon NZ3000 is, one in the kitchen where the Napoleon 1900P is, and one upstairs on the opposite end of the house is.....

We are heating two levels, over 2800sq ft and heat 24/7 exclusively with wood.....

I like to watch the heating oil and propane trucks drive by without stopping at my house knowing that every time they go by, someone else is getting a bill for a minimum of $3-400. Those furnaces and boilers are chewing through the fuel right now!!!

my wife is on me today because the house is too blankety blank hot. So we have a window open.
If I would be heating with gas I'd be pizzed with wood who cares.

Exclusively with wood is exactly how we heat our buildings too. even down to 50 below. Love it. NO stress.

It's been negative double digits the last couple of mornings and below zero for a week. My stove is running nonstop! Lots of trekking through the snow to my woodstacks. But the good side is we've been skiing almost every day here in the New Hampshire mountains.

fire at a car shop yesterday morning and the fire chief said the truck showed -15°. You should see the mess of ice. Everything was freezing up on them.
Meanwhile at home the house was getting a little bit too warm with the stove happily consuming 12+ year old oak.

There's no better feeling than being at a comfy temp in your home & knowing the "bill" was paid by a saw, splitter & sweat equity. Wood heat only here too and it's the only way imo.
