Well finally got the last bit of wood at the house split and stacked… now to go find some more…

starting to greasy out the on top of the snow from yesterday. Suns out and absolutely beautiful out… almost dressed too warm. But layers is the key. Got two loads of wood brought over my neighbor and one to my front porch before it got too slimy and tearing things up…

I was up at 4 today, and yesterday. That's about the time I try to wake up if I'm home on a work morning, but in the winter time I'm nearly always at mom's so I can sleep a bit later than that.

Watch now, up at 4 Saturday and Sunday, and tomorrow I'll probably be dead tired and struggling to get out of bed for the alarm shortly after 5.

You know where the seasonal flu comes from every year? Same place most other bugs come from. "The researchers report in Science that they sussed out the bug's travel plans by studying 13,000 samples of the virus collected from every continent (except Antarctica) over the past five years. Among their findings: seasonal flu originates in eastern and Southeast Asia". Their dense population, eating standards, animal interactions, are just fuel for germs.

Yes it seems that SE Asia is a breeding ground for tons of ick. Engineered or natural, who knows. Seems every time there’s a new bug it comes from there.

Got one heater reassembled. Will pressure test in a couple days after the sealant cures. Took a lot of beating and pneumatic impact action on the "vise" I made....but it worked.

Made a Menards run today...they had quite a few "free after rebate" items in their sale flyer, and many of those items were things we could use...got several bags of (eventual) free items...and those familiar with Menards will know about their rebate receipts...the sales receipt and rebate receipts totaled almost 11' long...yes, that's feet! :faint:   (and they had to cancel, then redo the whole sale because the printer ate the receipt the first time! :hair:)
Funny thing was they said I didn't even come close to qualifying for "longest receipt of the day"! o_O

This picture was taken in Augusta Me. about three miles up the road from me. Taken by a photographer and published on FB PM of Jan 14th. The river is the Kennebec. It is tide water.

Not necessarily true. I get 6 holidays per year, and this is one of them. However, I think last year (could be 2019) was the first time it was a holiday and it takes the place of the day after Thanksgiving.

Well it looks like today is going to be a spend time with family day. And, of course, cleaning up snow day. I brought a bunch of firewood yesterday before the storm so I won’t have to do that. The plan is we will all watch a movie together today. And maybe some card games. Probably eat a nice big meal together as well. Maybe watch the Cardinals V Rams Wild Card game tonight @ 8:15.

Had about 5" of snow when i went to bed. Woke up to 3-4". Musta changed to rain at some point. That's good, don't hafta worry about it blowing when the wind picks up later.
