You know, if you plumbed an old Milk Box in the middle of that OAK - that would be a GREAT way to chill Vodka.

Tiny Francesca stove ran well here, after I got the combustion fan RPM dialed in yesterday morning. I had 'modded' the burn pot(s), adding 4 1/8" holes to aid in clearing ash from the deep burn pot on the stove, but forgot to account that those holes would require additional combustion air, to compensate.. Rookie mistake. :picard: Burning well now! Ran 28 hrs. between yesterday -> to today, only opened to 'stir the burn pot' a few times w/ the large 'stirrer screwdriver'. Still running at 1.6 lb/hr ( 1.8 lb/hr w/ trim adjustment ) this weekend. Glad that everyone stoves are running well.

That would be a great idea if I didn't have the garage for that. At 35*, it does a fine job of it. Went to the liquor store a couple of weeks ago and put my haul in the 4 wheel dump barrow - first year I haven't had vehicles in the garage so the barrow is getting pampered this year. Plus, once the temp outside got to +20*, all the frost was gone from the OAK (at +15, frost was only there for a couple of inches)

I've been on Margaritas (strawberry or watermelon) and Malibu Rum mixes this year. Vodka is soooo 5 years ago

The pellets definitely make a difference with our P43. In the frigid temps the douglas fir pellets work the best.

DF pellets are, IMO, the best you can get. If I had them in my stash, they would be the go-to pellet for the really cold days. Never had a chance to burn any when I was still in NY in the big house.

Out of the 2 tons I bought a couple years ago used maybe 5 bags over that time. This winter is more like the Januarys I remember growing up. Looking at the 10 day forecast it looks like I'll be using a few bags of them Thurs nite thru Sat then next Mon-Wed. All usual Jan days, 10* at night, low to mid 20s during the day.

Did I ever tell you that I love my Accentra II? Probably. The lowest we saw was 3 degrees and it just kept the house at the setpoint of 67. Best investment I ever made! My oil furnace is set at 60. The only time it comes on is early in the morning after the house cools off. (I turn the pellet burner down to 60 at night and up to 67 whenever I wake up)

    I agree...
We don't get that cold ....plus we only have the two pellet stoves sucking on the air.

It does keep cooking odors and that stale smell from cropping up...

I did install an OAK in the raised hearth in the family room (Big Whitfield) But it is capped off at present......
