Finally broke down and bought one (used). Makes bringing wood to the house easier and I can haul about a 1/2 fc. I have a scary hill that loggers cut for me last year that I wouldn't go up with my tractor but have been up with a quad. I've been up and down it several times without a slip. I have a nice white oak up there maybe 14" Dia and 20' long that's been uprooted a few years and laying on another tree that ill go after soon with the utv.
Congrats! I bought a UTV almost a year ago and have no idea how I survived without one. I use it all the time!
We use a couple 4 wheelers and a utv, much prefer the utv ( 06 Rhino ) this log skid is nice too in the right application. Downhill would not be ideal if a steep grade but this keeps our logs out of the dirt and from digging in when I can’t get close with trailer or truck. I added the tongs.
I bought a polaris ranger and hardly used it due to the driving restrictions along state and/or federal highways. I did use it for firewood gathering a couple of time but was extremely disappointed in the light load capacity. The one in the pics above knows how to handle a load of firewood! edit: Ended up selling it less than a year later

We've had one since we purchased our bigger piece of land, it's great for hauling out firewood and just keeping the trails clear and making new ones. Since we bought the Rhino in 2007, I've widen and put in a bunch of trails around the house. Once the county opens up the Multi Use trails in the spring, the road gets pretty busy so we use the trails around the house for walking. Good luck with your purchase and keep it busy, they like the work.

Im surprised you ran into any trouble up there. A bunch of my inlaws go up there all the time in summer and fall and ride literally everywhere and have never been stopped.
I'm trying to figure out what utv it is as well. Ugg. No build date. No bueno. Have they said what is holding up production? How long you been waiting?
In northern Wisconsin, they pretty much let them run anywhere, as long as they are licensed. Heck even 45 minutes north of Milwaukee in summer towns they allowed them on city streets, utv, ATVs as long as they are licensed.
Just got on the list Saturday when it opened up. Parts shortages same as everything else. Could of got a Honda Pioneer or Yamaha Wolverine but dont want to pay that much.
My Kubota RTV is the most important piece of gear on my hunting property. Without it I’m dead in the water. When my tractor was down I even used it to disk some food plots in low gear, 4x4. Thing is a beast. Congrats.
The Kawasaki Mules I have worked on have the air intakes built into the roll bars and I don't see that on this one. And I think they have cargo beds made from metal. Maybe they had different designs over the years.
