Catching big chips in the neck makes me feel alive, especially in the cold. :dex:

I only use them for grass / weeds but getting a 1972 Two stroke lawn boy all but eliminated my need. It super light weight all magnesium deck. I used the trimmer 2 times all last year.

Most heavy brush it will cut at idle. 2-4” saplings you pull the trigger and tap it a few times

Went out to skid some logs out of the woods and make some Swedish Candles. Got 22 candles made out of Silver Maple, several logs brought up to the processing area, and several cut to 21" using the new length marker. I noticed the firewood I'm burning this year (css in '18) was kinda inconsistent lengths. Pleased with how easy the marker worked and should get much more consistant in the future.

Cold out today but otherwise a beautiful day to be in the woods.

Dave's (a coworker and my neighbor's brother) 340 got a workout today with 3 tanks of gas through it. I wanted to get the carb tweaked in after giving it a MM for him last weekend. It's a nice small saw that rips pretty good with square filed chain on it. It's a little heavy for it's cc class but that is kind of an advantage when making Swedish Candles with all the plunge cutting I do when making the style of candle that I like. 5 plunge cuts per candle. I ended up not even starting the 357xp and MS362 as I was having too much fun with the 340 and my MS250. I put 3 tanks of fuel through the 250 and made sure the carb was zeroed in also.

Finally got a chance to buck up some oak on my Up Island friend’s property. Filled the truck! Used the trash rescue saw, as her muff mod makes her run hot, even in 20 degree temps.

I was able to get back out to play with the saws today. Used the 250 and the 357 today and was able to get all the downed trees skidded down to the processing area from up on the 288 trail.

Got my first 70cc saw today. I have been trying to thin the herd of saws out and sold my Jonsered 630 and my Echo 55 Evl. I have quite a few saws around 50-60 cc's and have been looking for a Husqvarna 372 (or similar) for about a year. They seem to disappear on Facebook within minutes, or the seller is asking for price close to new.

I only hear great things about Dolmar's, I put it in some 16 inch red oak rounds, went through it with no issues.

    New runner to me.
I’m becoming a Dolmar fan too.
Rebuilt a PS 9000 last year and that is a strong saw.
This one is just coming off the bench
I’ve got a PS 540 that appears to need only a few things, brake guts and AV mount. I haven’t tried really hard yet, but the little I did look into getting those parts, they weren’t a lot to choose from
    Good looking 7300!

Big ol’ pine taken down by the Island’s recent storm, blocking my way home. Glad I tossed the little guy in the truck before heading into work!
