Sorry for the late post but couldn’t sign in for months do to lost password. Have had a great season so far 3 does and a nice 10 point. The small spike is considered a doe here in Mass.
    All crossbow kills.

Yes that was with the new Ravin aluminum broadhead. I have had the same results on three other deer it just tears them up with a quartering shot.

Finally put meat in the freezer! I am more impressed with the schwacker broadheads every time I use them. Short distance to recovery. Unfortunately the deer made it across the ravine and I had to carry it all the way back up to the house.

Had a big miss on a nice doe with the flintlock Friday afternoon to close out the NY late season this year. Got a bit excited and rushed the shot, but it was nice to see something. Few more weeks left to get to camp for the flintlock season still!

Thought I had posted this earlier, I took our pastor hunting Dec 14, morning hunt. I think he has only gotten 1 really small deer before. We hunted in the box stand together. We saw 6, he made a nice 145 yrd shot on a big doe, dropped in her tracks. Other deer came back and fed around her.

    He was happy... 1214210957.jpg
Not long after he got his doe, another came out at 60 yrds, I folded her up with a neck shot 1214210752.jpg
    We were done by 8AM

Good to see lots of deer on this thread. I'm jealous of the people with long seasons.

Our season is a marathon, not a sprint. That's what I tell my boys every year.

Ours is as well, Sept 10th or so until first few days in February. I get burnt out, ready to start small game hunting for a change of pace.

I think the floor size is 4x8, walls are about 6.5-7' tall
