I have an older version of that one you have there Well Seasoned , had it for years. Works good, no problems.
Good Morning ya'll, it was 55 in and still is 20 out. I'm burning Red maple and some UFO's (unidentified firewood objects, aka bottom of the barrel stuff)
John, when are you ever going to keep your house warm in winter?! I love 55 degrees in October when I an hunting but not in the house. I cringe if it ever drops to 70 inside during winter. But chances are I burn a bit more wood than you do.
I went outdoors well after dark last night and took a walk. It was amazing how warm it felt. Felt great! I think it was around 30.
33/70, oak doing the work. They called for freezing rain and we got nothing. After work yeaterday bucked and moved some wood. Was mid 20s. Felt great.
It was 30 when I got up... Now it shows 22. I best get the ash's cleaned out and get some more wood in the stove.
-4/65 now. Wind picked up overnight and brought some snow to start out the daylight. 45mph gusts; 7" new stuff predicted.
32/70 here. I just cleaned the ash from the stove and got a fire going with some apple, beech and black birch. It’s supposed to be a sloppy mess of rain/sleet/snow today with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s, then dropping back down to the low 20s by tomorrow morning.
11f NNW 9MPH for a feels like -1 this morning. They say it will get to 28 with 5-15MPH winds gusting to 25. Have a good Sunday all.
It was 24°and raining pretty good when I got up...can't believe the power is still on. Burning red oak/ash/maple
Talk about a mixed bag of weather the last few days! Friday was 3-4” of snow with a high in the low teens. The high yesterday was low 20’s, but bright and sunny which made for a decent day to be outdoors. I even brought some logs up from the woods yesterday. But today… a dreary, damp rain/ice/snow mix with a chilly high of 40* falling into the low teens tonight. Which means the rain/ice/snow will be solid ice tomorrow morning. I hate ice!! But that’s winter in the Laurel Highlands. But it’s warm and cozy by the stove.
We are headed for the zero degree mark Monday and Tuesday night…..since I now have covid….loaded the garage up with hickory, honey locust, black locust maple and beech. Gotta love filling the garage with a fever! Hope all are safe and well
33 outside and heading for 20. Winds have picked up. Did not reload this morning because it was warming up and raining. Made it to 46 I believe. Started back up at 4:30, couple cold days ahead.
