Good afternoon all. 38* and rain. Going to change to a mixture of rain and freezing rain, then snow. Yuck.
Molly, I think I missed something. Did they close the schools due to covid? Glad Neil is doing fine.
    Enjoy your shopping Jeff.
Football on tap today. Go Bills and Steelers.
    Have a good day all.

Love the deer pictures. You folks have more deer in your yards than in an entire square mile of our deer woods. We have had too much snow/cold coupled with constant hunting by the wolves.

I have shared this shot before, but thought some might enjoy seeing it again, or for the first time. It is a shot of a young timber wolf from my buddy’s trail camera which is about a quarter mile south of our land.

Look at it’s eyes, and build for chasing down prey…what a beauty. They are know for growing to well over 100 pounds.

I anticipate the beginnings of down cycle for the wolves until the deer can recover if we get a few mild winters in a row. On the other hand our moose are doing pretty well now as they are not quite as susceptible to wintertime wolf predation.

Not a Steelers fan but it would be great to see Big Ben go out with another W.

Watching Viking and Bears now, with Lil Smokies warming on the wood stove.

Amazing pic. Did Minnesota end up opening up a Wolf hunting season?

We had a season recently, but no more. I can’t remember why it was ended, but it had something to do with a legal issue given their endangered status. Aside from the fact that they are not scarce, hunters wouldn’t be able to make a dent. I have seen them while deer hunting but never really found myself wanting to shoot one…however, I would like to see people have an option to harvest one if they wanted to do so.

I'd probably would not be able to take one myself, but if the numbers warrant a harvest I'm good with it.

I remember waking up about 6am while camping out in the wilderness of Isle Royale,do to a moose being chased by a wolf along the trail about 10 feet from our tent. :)

    Good morning, folks.

Just below freezing temps, clear, dry, and breezy.

Some errands and a this-n-that kind of day.

    Be safe
    Be healthy

Good morning everyone! Yes Jill, schools here will be closed for two days, due to staff absences for Covid. So far so good at Neil's school in MA. He says that someone is always sticking a swab up his nose, no big deal. These kids will have some stories to tell when they get old.
We have a cold snap coming tomorrow, single digits and wind. Have to move some locust in today.
I'm looking forward to the pool today! They keep it at 84°. Unlike ours right now... IMG_20220109_16155.jpg
    Have a cozy Monday!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. 50°, cloudy and breezy today. We had a fun trip to Macon after church yesterday. Ate at Red Lobster and went to Sam's Club, got a few things, stopped by TSC across the road, got 3 more gallons of bar oil, now I can blend the oil we have in the totes. As we were leaving there, got caught in severe thunderstorm, drove all the way through Macon about 35MPH, rained all the way home, finally got to about 50MPH...
Got several projects today, put a 6 hole cube storage rack together for grandson's room, get a load of chunks amd shorts up for a new customer, she just got an older stove, and then need to prep some IBC cages to stack the ash and holly in.
Let your light shine for JESUS
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

Good morning everyone! 14° currently. Breezy and light snow. Despite this I'm thankful to have another day.
