Happy Friday! Currently one(1)F and just a bit crispy out. Got a dandy dusting of dandruff overnight but nothing like you folks on the coast. Several interviews scheduled today. If anybody actually shows up we'll probably hire them. Should be warmer tomorrow so I can do a bit of splitting. Have a God day!

 

Morning All. Just below freezing and we have a dusting of snow on top of all the frozen rain we got last night. Icicles hanging off everything. I am supposed to head out to the church this morning but I think I will really have to evaluate that. I guess we are supposed to get warmer temps all weekend and next week. It is going to be messy.

Dennis, my sil went to just reading glasses. Lucky dog. Due to a stigmatized, unfortunately I will still need glasses. They said about 3 wks for new glasses.
Mike, I am trying to do when I get up, noon and about 6 pm. I probably forget evening meds 2/3 times a week. My alarm doesn't always go off.
Woodwidow, be very careful if you go out. Don't need no broken bones.
Jeff, hope your mom gets feeling better.
Woke up to a dusting but it was snowing out. I think we got about an inch. It is blowing around a bit.

Not to scare you, but one of the eye drops is a steroid, to speed healing. Come to find out, at my follow-up, the pressure in my eye was rising. I was told that I was a "steroid responder". They ceased that specific eyedrop, and gave me a different one. They said being a responder, is rare.

That was probably the prednisone. I have had it before but in pill form when I had a COPD flair. Never had any issues yet.

 

Evening all. Road was good this morning and stayed that way all day. Fortunately no rain and now the temps have dropped below freezing, it will snow if any moisture is around. Back deck is a skating rink so I am not headed out there. This is the longest that I can remember that this area has had freezing temps and snow. I enjoy it once the roads are clear and the sun comes out. It is the messy transition back to our regular rain pattern that I don't like.

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a SUPER SATURDAY. 26° right now, thought about going hunting again, but I was miserable yesterday when my feet froze...lol...maybe go this afternoon. We have some wood to split and we need to finish the big yard we started on.
Time for more coffee and get the grits going.
We saw mama for awhile, she was awake and talking, sounded weak, I did understand her when she said, "Love you, don't tell anybody" like she used to say. Her roommate was in and talking louder than mama. She seems nice, though.
Just say a little prayer for her, please....

Good morning! Currently 14F and going up to 32 so I'll be able to get outside again. I need to resplit and stack some wood and move some big rounds. Then cover my full IBC totes. Plenty to do. Have a God day!

Had a nice treat this morning. We had 7 deer in our woods and yard this morning, the first deer we have seen since hunting season started the weekend before Thanksgiving. I will post a pic after I get the camera battery charged. Nice to see them back.

 

Morning All. Temps were below freezing last night but crept up to around the freezing mark. Any moisture coming down is going to be a mix. Right now we have snow. It could change to rain at any time. We have an impressive (for us) set of icicles hanging off a cornice on the back porch. It if warms up enough, we are going to hear a real thud when it lands.

God prepared John the Baptist to be a special messenger for him. Each of us can be that same special messenger by sharing the Good News about Jesus.

My buddy and I had a productive morning on the lake. We got his house set and then got to spearing for a few hours. I took this one for a meal for our kids this week. We saw several much bigger ones that are still swimming.
