No not Lori or I. We started seeing bluebirds around our feeders last year, didn't remember seeing them anytime over the last 14 years. We have about 4-6 regulars since then.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New year holiday...

Ours was tedious...Snow, wind, torrential rain.....
We need to get more shells....Weather has been dreadful....looks like the first of the week is going to bring some much needed sun...

Still have a lot of shells in barrels....big issues is trying to get a dry slot to be able to run Munchy and refill the stove ready stock......

We had nearly 14" of rain in December....Arrrrrrgh.
During Christmas holiday we ran both stoves 24/7.

    Coldest night was 15F
Much to my delight the cold weather went away gradually and we did not get a stinking ice storm....

Haven't posted in a while so I thought I'd say hi. Hope everyone had a nice holiday and Santa was good to you all ! :santa: I have been busy working, hunting, family stuff with grandkids. I somehow tore my meniscus in my right knee in October and a hunting trip to Ohio in Nov. really did it in. Trying to get tests and medical clearance has been long and arduous task. Finally got a date, Jan. 4, for arthroscopic surgery and wife and I got covid last Sunday. :deadhorse: I called hospital Monday AM to advise them of my positive test and feeling like crap and they advised me that Doctor was stranded out of state after traveling due to airlines canceling flights and surgery was postponed anyway! So now wifey and I are stuck here recouping. Feeling better but no taste or sense of smell. Hoping to be back to normal by end of this weekend. Surgery on the knee scheduled for Feb. 1 now.
The stove has been working well. I got a ton of TSC white bag and not very pleased with the performance. Low heat and high ash. I miss the Lacretes HD had last year, maybe that's why I'm so underwhelmed by the TSC pellets. I bought several bags of Warm Fronts from local lumber yard and I like the heat and ash but hate the $330 price. Tough to figure out best option, burn less Warm Fronts @$330 or more TSC @$250. Well I have some time to decide.
Happy B day Jay, relax from working on the shack for a day and have a brew or two!!! I will try not to be away for so long in the future.

    Doggy

After what the driving around these parts was like yesterday, people are probably looking forward to just having snow on the road.

    Me 3!

I'm stuck between the 2-4 and 4-6. Blowers parked under the side porch and ready to fling it what ever it may be.

End of storm coming through, might get 5" more, might as well wait to plow. At least it got into the 20's today! Was getting tired of that below zero crap.
