Good morning everyone! 13° here, this may be the coldest morning yet. The sun will warm us up to the high 20's. Meh, bring it on! Still jacket weather.
I have to bring in wood today. That, plus swimming, plus a glass of wine in the evening, conks me right out.
My husband is driving to Maine today for a rendezvous with his brother. Maybe I'll do the self-clean on the oven, which stinks up the house a bit.
I think I can get through this winter OK. Feeling positive this morning!

There are times I may have craved something I couldn't eat but I don't think I've ever been tempted to eat boots (mine or anyone else's)! The quote is excellent and applies to so much of our lives. Good morning! 24F and sunny getting up into the mid 30s today. A veritable heat wave! The bottom drops out tomorrow and I can get some wood chips moved. Probably staying home tonight and making some hearty soup-like dinner. Have a God day!

 

Morning All. Woke up to another couple of inches of snow with frozen slush underneath. Unreal weather here. It looks so pretty first thing in the morning.
Off to work today. I guess I will be working three days a week for the month of January.

Evening everyone. Guess we are about to get a winter storm here starting tomorrow late morning. 40-50 mph winds and 8+ inches of snow possible by Thursday. Oh boy!

Good morning everyone! Chazsbetterhalf Jill, I'm so happy to hear that it went well, and you're back home!
Yesterday after dark, I looked out the front door for a package, and there was a possum eating the peanuts on the front step. Tonight I'll put out some cat food!
Here in the grocery stores in NH, there has been hardly any orange juice for sale for a couple of weeks. What's up with that?
I'm down to one back row of wood in the part of the shed I've been pulling from. It has been in there for several years. Once it's empty, I could start filling it from stacks, if we don't get a lot of snow. A project to look forward to.

Good morning! Temps already dropped from 35F to 28F and continuing to drop into the basement today with gusty winds. I'll try to get wood chips moved tonight if the skid steer starts in the cold. Probably making a pot of chili. Have a God day!

 

We went from 36° and still at 7am to currently sideways snow and 40+ mph wind gusts. Not sure of current temp. Not near a thermometer. Power has been flashing periodically. Generator is hooked up and ready in case. Just throw the switch and fire it up.

 

Morning All. Below freezing this morning and no new snow. Prediction is that we will get dumped on tonight so tomorrow will be interesting. Working again today. Very quiet office as students are not due back until next week.

Good afternoon y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. It was about 40° this morning, might get to 60°. The cold front will be here Thursday night, I think. Another day working while it is beautiful outside......
We worked on the wood yard the past 2 nights, got all the ash split. Hope to start on the holly tonight. I don't envy y'all with the storms...be safe out there...plenty of nuts holding steering wheels...

Good afternoon all. Talked to my doc just before surgery yesterday about any restrictions. For kicks and giggles Chaz wanted me to ask him if I could still do laundry. He said if I wanted an excuse he'd give one and promptly told no cooking, cleaning or laundry for a month. I like my doctor.
Thanks Molly. It is amazing to see how much improvement there is in my right eye.
Have to go for another covid test. Have to have one 5 days before surgery. But at least it will be a mouth swab.
