My neighbor (about 1/2 mile down the road) is building a workshop. He’s cut down about 1/2 acre of trees. HE doesn’t burn !! He asked me if I knew anyone that might want it. He’s already bucked most of it into 48 - 60 inch logs. Of course I know someone that wants it [IMG]

Is he going to sort it out of the brush? You shouldn't have to if you're willing to take if off his hands.

Just kidding, great score and enjoy.

Some VERY nice neighbors for sure. Doesnt look like a lot of huge logs which is a plus in my book. How much wood you thinking? Cant beat a close to home score.

Some of my pics wouldn’t post. So far I’ve got 3 cords and probably another 3 cord left. I have offered to share with some others that actually need the wood more than me. I hauled my splitter over there to handle the bigger logs. Biggest we’re probably 28” dbh.
But there is a ton of 6-14” branches and logs.

Sweet. Now if you could show him a better way to cut those trees... You can tell he is not too experienced.

I figure he left the stumps high so he could dig them out. The angled end cuts I'm not so sure about, hopefully he takes more care in felling them, they're big enough to hurt him.

He actually had a tree service come in and down the trees. He has an excavator rented to pull the stumps next week. I wasn’t there when the trees were downed but I said the same thing (wtf) were they doing?

Cherry is gone so no more pics. A friend of mine wanted it for smoking. I use hickory and apple wood for smoking so I let him have it all.

I like Brad's take. You cannot beat a close to home score.
