Ok. Belt appears to be in tact. There's a tensioner pulley that isn't tensioned. Maybe a spring broke? I'll need to look and see.
Thanks Mark. I was going to get take out from Texas Roadhouse, but they there is a 90 min wait. After 8 is too late to be picking up take out. It would be 10 pm by the time we were done with the meal. Looks like frozen lasagna. Wife has a carrot cake slice for dessert. I'll try again another day for a late afternoon meal just after they open at 3 PM. I don't like driving after dark if I can avoid it. Maybe this weekend if we don't get the questionable snow storm.
The lasagna and carrot cake don't sound to bad. I made some box carrot cake for Barbara and I last fall and we liked it allot. I bet the Roadhouse would be a treat. Hope you get there soon. Enjoy your eve Larry.
Larry had I known I was in Chelsea today. I’d have brought you some roadhouse. I was in Augusta and Gardiner a good portion of the day.
We had our front yard fenced in when we had a Jack Russell Terrier because there was no way to keep him on the property. All the dogs since have been able to go outside to burn off a little energy. Our big dog is a Pointer/Border Collie rescue. He loves to run even at almost 10 years old. Keep them exercised and keep their minds busy and they are better indoors.
My son, his wife and three kids all have it. The kids tested positive today. So far all are doing well. Covid is running rampant here. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem that bad for most that have had it.
Thanks, Got along just fine. wife home with me, fire is going, dog is settled down. Kids called to wish me a happy birthday. thanks for thinking of me.
My first thought was squirrel also. I've had them build little dens inside boughs of a sprawling evergreen shrub (about 4' tall by 6' around) and then once the snow gets high enough, they go up into the trees. Weird that it is out in the open, on top of that wood stack though.
I had to do that a couple of years ago - it is a real PITA when you have no idea what you are doing (I'm sure you'll be fine since you seem to be so handy and mechanically inclided). In my case, the belt stretched so the auger would turn, just not under any load. I tried tightening the tensioner, but that didn't work so had to replace the belt.
Caffeine! Plugged in the CAT at 4:55. It is 10F here this morning. Hopefully two hours plugged in will help it start up easier. Will move more clay today amongst a few other things. And a trip to town for sending out a couple payments for bills and diesel fetching.
Gotta be some kind of squirrel or it fell from a tree just perfectly Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Yes, and they have killed several of my hemlocks. That was my initial thought as well, that no matter what built it, it was a weird place to create a den/nest. This was a lot larger than it appears in the picture, and there were at least a couple dozen fresh cut small branches intertwined in the nest. Plus, there were no leaves around and when I broke the nest up, it was full of oak leaves. I guess with the high winds we had that day that there is a possibility it fell out of the tree, but the way it was integrated into the oak split on top of the stack leads me to believe it was built there. I was thinking more the face hugger from Alien.
