Glad she's okay. The whole thing is surreal.

The latest for us is either 3" or 4" or 6-10". Time will tell. It is not supposed to start until Saturday night.

I fixed my wife's Fitbit. I got her new bands for it as one of them broke. They are a type of rubber, and they just eventually fail. The issue was the new band wouldn't snap/ lock on place on one side. It took a magnifying glass, but I figured it out. Crud, dirt, etc wouldn't let the retaining clip pop back up, and the band wouldn't stay in place. A toothpick and an eyeglass screwdriver allowed be to clear the gunk out of it and it works properly now. I also cleaned the blower fan for the quadrafire. Much better now.

Currently having one cold one, hanging with the family watching Cotton Bowl game. Snacking on rye bread and corned beef dip, and veggies and dip. Swedish Meatballs, and chicken wing dip to follow.

I understand two big box stores went up in smoke. Niece called this morning. Her home didn't get burned. Seems the high winds knocked down a power line which set the grass fire. It has been super dry there.

I think that might be a good idea for me to.. Trying to find something good on tv isn't easy most nights anyway. :) Makes me want to find something to eat even though I'm not hungry.

She had a long full, successful life. Still it is sad to have her go. We will have our memories of this lovely sassy lady.

Had a power flicker around 11 last night. Only reason I knew at the time is the UPS that the P43 is hooked up to beeped once, and the stove cycled its fans (as it is supposed to - it was not heating though so the fans didn't pulse), and I woke up briefly from those. Reset the cook stove clock this morning - it was reading 4:30 at 3:30 am. Since the clock resets to 12:00, that allowed me to figure out what time it was that the flicker happened.

On another note, I was supposed to receive a package yesterday. It left Vermont on 12/30 , went by my place to get to Londonderry, NH (well, I'm not positive about that, they could have dropped it off in Londonderry but the crafter is in Vermont). The package was picked up there early 12/31 and made its way down to central MA. Hopefully it comes back up north next and doesn't take a cross country tour. Not that it is a super important package, nor is it temperature sensitive - but it is fragile and the more it is handled the more likely it won't arrive in one piece.
