    The pic is a little blurry, looks like a Roosevelt elk. Those get alot bigger bodied then rocky MTN elk .

    Some calves and a young bull. The antlers don’t get as big as they do on the Rocky MTN bulls. [​IMG]

    This is a bull with the resident herd that stayed on the mill property where I worked. This would be considered a pretty good bull for around here. [​IMG]

    Roosevelt elk get really huge here on Vancouver Island. Unfortunately we saw one today in the bucket of a front end loader as it was being hauled off the road. A vehicle meeting up with one of them doesn't fair too well.

    I love watching elk and moose. Roosevelt Elk are really cool critters.
