    Looks like both the elm and cottonwood I split this last year, but given the bad reviews of elm on here I'll say elm.

    I'm geussing elm also, not sure if people hate it but it brings it's own kindling to the fire can't be too bad

    I zoomed in and deducted my guess that way. Actually doesnt look stringy enough for elm.

    I’ve never CSS Elm, but if that is what is in the picture, I am starting to understand why Jason despises the stuff

    That pile makes Cottonwood look good , that’s sayin somthin

    My initial thought was some type of gum.
    One run in I had with it was horrid. I stopped trying and started throwing those rounds aside. It was every bit as bad, if not worse than elm.

    I go with an outside shot from way out in left field. Looks like some stringy azz Mulberry to me based on how my phone is coloring it & a couple of the bark snippets I am seeing. There are a couple of odd colored chunks but I seen that color in Mulberry also that is start to go punky. They must be put in there to confuse the masses, myself included.
