Morning All. So instead of enjoying a day at home to get caught up and watch a little football, I came down with a sinus headache. 12 hours in bed and I still have it. I think it is because we have a high pressure system sitting over us. -10 C/ 14 F last night. It is a touch warmer this morning. We are supposed to get snow today as well. We got a couple of inches of fresh snow yesterday morning and it hasn't melted off at all. I am enjoying the scenery but getting around is pretty slippery.

I am going to get myself some caffeine tea and if that doesn't work, I will resort to Advil. I really don't like taking pain killers.

Yup. A cardinal. There's a male and female in the area. I read where they mate for life. Skittish birds.

Good morning everyone! I've been swimming already. I got in early so I could be sure to get a lane.
Roads are greasy out there, 31° and drizzling.
Don't know what I'll do today. Something useful, I hope.

I figured this is shareable....

As I continue to collect wisdom from life's experiences, I find it a tad annoying needing to return to the house because I forgot something. So, I came up with a little ditty to remind myself - wallet, glasses, keys, and phone. When I say it enough times, there's almost a musical tune that begins to be just natural.

So..... the ever resourceful Mrs MikeinMa, had this doormat made up for me, for Christmas.

 

I just love that. It is perfect. Visitors might be a little a taken back but whatever works for you.

 

Morning All. -6C/21F this morning. We got a couple inches of snow yesterday but none predicted for today. Our daughter and SIL came back from Mom's to spend the night. They are leaving for home today. We stayed up late and finished a puzzle together. I will get a pic later to show you. Very different design.
After the kids leave, I will be disappearing down into the sewing room to finish a project. A long tradition in the family is that someone always seems to get an unfinished gift for Christmas. This year it was Mom from me. I have to get it finished and back to her.
Fortunately my sinus headache disappeared shortly after I got up yesterday without resorting to drugs. I find when I stay in bed too long, my neck gives me a headache. Getting up and moving around seems to banish it for the rest of the day.

Good afternoon! 37F here, was raining and changed to snow. The temp hasn't changed but snow is already sticking on the roads. Going to dinner with friends tonight. Haven't done much with firewood lately as it's too wet to drive the skid steer off the driveway. My interviewee didn't show so I thought I should pop on here since I've been AWOL for a few days. Have a God day!

 

The snow held off long enough for my wife and I, along with friends, get to Red Lobster for lunch to celebrate our 53rd anniversary. Started snowing while we were inside eating. Made it home OK and now just enjoying the beautiful white landscape. Don't have to go any place else today.
