Lol. I clicked in there once or twice when it was fresh, knew that wasn't where I wanted to be and never went back.

 

I was on one of the other arbor focused forums for a short time. Mostly enjoyed the chainsaw and firewood section.
I have not met many chainsaw and firewood fanatics in the real world, so it’s great to have a place to share my interests without getting mauled for having a different opinion and experience. It’s a place to elevate my knowledge of trees, saws, firewood and hopefully have an opportunity to help others with what I have learned.
Just because my experience with Husqvarna hasn’t been great doesn’t mean all orange saws are crap and your experience with Stihl may be the same.
I know quite a bit about the trees in my small area, but nothing about the trees and forest in your space.
When someone gets a sweet wood score or new saw I share in their excitement.
Living to hoard and hoarding to live shouldn’t result in jails, institutions, or death.
Gotta go stack and split so I can cut some more.

I came in looking for wood stove tips. I found Denis' article, and another one on another forum. Then back here for another. I believe His hand was in that. I never checked out "the other" forum.
What a great place to share experiences with those who are now where we all once were! What a great place just to love on people: lend support, help where needed, drive over and lend a hand (or be ready to), encourage, console.
I thrill over someone's score, as much as I do my own: how easy is the score, the circumstances that lead to it, the analyzing of how much/the quality, how it fits in and helps the goal of a 3 year plan.....
The joy of lighting the stove for the first time, sharing tales of the comfort and freedom wood heat brings, reminds me of those for myself.

Well.... I need to stop taking the corporate helicopter. It's not stocked with a darn thing.

I get a lot of pleasure sharing my hoarding adventures with like minded folks. Ive learned a lot and laughed a lot which keeps me here as well. Made some great friends (you included) here too.
This is the only social media i do (i browse FBM for deals) as ive heard what Ms. buZZsaw puts up with on FB and others. I dont like drama and BS and none of that here unless waiting to see how much BL Eric gets from a score he's working...my kinda drama!

 

I like the talk about firewood. I like the talk about chainsaws, wood stoves, trees, the latest score, also firewood tools. Then there is also fire starting methods, stacking techniques, wood mills and.......I could go on and on. But then there is the basic glue that makes all of this work. For all the bad in this world there is also a lot of good and what we got here is a lot of basic, Good Folks! I don't agree with everything that everybody has to say but I believe we are all Good Folks making do in this world. It makes me feel a bit more secure in life knowing that Y'all are out there and I get to hear your thoughts, ideas and concerns and share some of your ups and downs! The firewood and chainsaws and wood stoves are the icing... but a group of decent, friendly, Good Folks is the cake!!!
