I was thinking the same thing……….if I knew anything about milling. I’m not setup for it, and I myself have never done that. Hopefully in the future this will all change. I have two ears and one mouth, so I listen twice as much as I talk. I love this site, because I’ve learned a lot from you guys.

It’s very heavy, I’m ripping it where it sits lol. I don’t have a tractor YET. Just some saws, and a wood splitter.

Some day you may get that tractor. Then you will wonder how you ever got along without it and also wish you would have got a larger one!

I don't see your location on your profile.... But wonder if there are any locals around you with a little mill?

I would gladly bring a mill over and trade mill time for some white oak lumber...if it was local!

My location is Va, I’m about 35 mins from Lynchburg Va. Small town called hurt, pretty much dead in the middle of danville and Lynchburg.

Oh dang, you're about 2 hours or so from me, give or take. There has got to be someone in that hood with a mill. Looks to me like there'd be some good slabs out of that big piece with the two limbs, I'd think some good figure in it...would make a nice table top or other similar project. You might could call the local extension office to see if they know of anyone, or maybe county/area dept of foresty.

Hall84, check out this link. There are some that may be worth talking to if you're interested. Not super close to you, but some of them may know someone who is closer that isn't listed.

All but 5 hours away or I'd offer to lend you my Alaskan mill. You definitely have the saws for it!

Maybe one day we can get up Jason, I’d have to get around some of you guys. I know absolutely nothing about milling.
