A little milling around

    First time using the chainsaw mill since this summer. Piece of ash and a piece of elm. The ash was a branch that fell at the neighbors that I cut up last night. The elm was a piece of a really straight elm that I cut up to firewood. Not sure what I'm gonna do with them but I have a family friend who has a wood shop. Planning on doing more this week. Getting a little bored with the firewood.

    I didn't know ash had that much color! The ash I have split here has been much lighter, and pretty uniform in color throughout.

    Yea it looks really good imo. This picture was after I put water on it so that helped it pop too.

    Nice looking.
    Everything I used to look at was firewood. Now I look at it a little different, first thought is something that can be milled and if not, then it becomes firewood.
    A lot of hidden beauties inside some of those logs.
