I was checking out some things on google maps satellite today and thought I’d check out moms farm. While messing around, I wanted to see what the wood looked like from above. Area covered in splits, rounds, and logs is a little over an acre. Always cool to try to figure out when the picture was taken…this was this spring shorty before the leaves popped. Anyone else care to share, even if it’s just a pile of splits? I love this stuff so much, I should have become a pilot.

    Nice view!

I just checked and my woodyard is obscured by trees with leaves. :(

I didn't even have a woodlot when the picture was taken. Things look much better now. :D

“They” can tell the color of your eyes from space so I’m sure somebody is keeping tabs on every stick you pile up ;)

Anything in my yard visible from outer space, or even a small plane taking photos, is garden area, driveway or building.
If they took photos in the Winter here some stacks might be visible though.

Lol, they updated the view since last time I looked.

Last time I looked, the wood shed wasn't in the picture, despite the wood shed being there for quite a while. There must be a few months of lag.

100% correct. If you want to do aerial overviews, get yourself a good drone.

It would be an invasion of privacy if the quality was any better on Google satellite view.

I don't follow your train of thought. Moat times those views were taken by tax accessors looking at your property anyway.

Believe me, the Government has the optical capability to take a picture of you out back of your barn taking a leak and see your pubic hair if they want to look. Probably don't anyway......lol

I realize that. My wife is retired DOD. She was involved in surveillance systems. Google is more into street view stuff.

How does that old saying go... No matter how you shake or squeeze, that last drop was meant for your BVD's.

Our whole property is a woodlot, nevermind the back 40. Have half an acre and 26 cord living here with us.

....homing thousands of mice, termites, bunnies, and even gophers cavorting atop our piles.
....standing fodder for the next tornado to be loosed from thier stacks in favor of the neighbor's kitchen.

Sarcasm over. But there isnt much room for more here!
