Thank you for having me. I always have a good time with that group.

I should get down your way this summer and take ya to that Gilmore car museum we were chatting about.

The name is from the 100, 200 and 300 yard shooting competitions my wife and I are involved in. Grade A small eggs are the targets. Lol.

Anymore I rarely get a chance to shoot a chipmunk or red squirrel. She runs to the rifle and out she goes. It tickles me. Stone cold killer she is lol.

Yeah, some day I'd like to go there. If I remember right it is not far from Battle Creek so maybe a bit less than 100 miles there from here.

You guys must have only looked at the tractor and its load. Look at that 7th (I think) picture. The one loaded with saws. You will see beech.

Beech hasn’t been worth anything at the mill since I can remember. Most of them get soft in the middle so the market went away

Meh. Custer doesn’t burn firewood. A little bit at his mom’s place, I guess. Cookies burn fine in the bonfire.

But I see where you’re coming from. It’s nice to buck and split the straight ones and cookie the gnarly stuff.

3-4 years ago I had about 10 beech test logs like those. I ended up running out of shop firewood in March and had to collect piles of frozen cookies for heat in the garage. Not fun

There was plenty left over for firewood which is exactly what Custer was planning after the cookie making

Looks like a great time and I know for sure a great group of guys, wish it wasn't so dammed far away or else I'd have come up for the weekend....this time of year it's just too hard with Christmas around the corner and all that stuff.

Oh ya. If I remember, going on 127, 69 and 94 it is 100 miles to BC. I live off of M-57 nd that takes you north of Grand Rapids.
