Had some really nice weather and went out cutting a couple weeks ago. Had to winch a bunch of this wood out of a ravine and then carried most of it out with the grapple to keep it from getting too dirty. There was quite a bit to cut and split up. Used my 261 mostly for cutting these up, even the larger oak.

    Getting it split up:

    Finished stacking on the pallets:

Will summer like winter if it ever comes? We rescued a dog from a kill shelter in 2017 out of Texas, just a bundle of energy, joy and she loves the snow.

When we had our dog for the first winter, I would make a fire in the wood stove in the basement and we would all be down there enjoying the heat but this winter when I make the fire shoe goes upstairs, once I have the wood stove set and we're done with our coffee, she heads downstairs :hair: last night I ran the pellet stove so before I went to bed I went downstairs to check on it, our dog Tilli was on the couch in the basement sleeping.

Nice wood load & stash for sure. Summer looks like a real keeper. I find that young dogs figure out the whole wood cutting thing in a hurry, biggest "trick" is simply time spent with them. Mine don't much care what we're doing as long as we're all doing it.

Spencer that stuff just looks super heavy! Glad you got out to get more wood and that grapple has to be sweet.

It was really wet as it had busted off from a storm in the spring and had been on the ground all summer.

She is actually just a more cream colored golden. She hasn't grown out all her long hair yet.
