Not sure what's up today but might try cutting more wood as it is forecast sunny and 46. First will have to clean up the mess left over from the big blow.

    Good morning, folks.

Just above freezing and clear. Warmer than average, but no complaints.

I moved compost around, from bin to bin yesterday. I have one more bin full to move this morning.

I have some splits to move and stack.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. 30° outside, 73° inside. Got to go have my annual physical @ 10:00 this morning, might try to see mama before I go there. Probably will go to my sister in law's house. They put in a water heater we gave them, can't get it to work...:picard:...
I really want to haul some hickory and oak logs a friend gave us...maybe that will happen too.

Good morning everyone! It's 37° and overcast, but supposed to get to 50° with sun. I think this afternoon will be my roof sweeping expedition. My husband bought a broadcast TV antenna, which may need to go on the roof, but maybe not.
Other than that, I'll move wood around and then go swimming. Dump run as well. I've getting the wood scavenging urge again, as some space opens up in the yard. r44ikpi.jpeg

    Have a great Monday!

Morning All. temps this morning around freezing with no more snow. Headed down island with Mom today. I am hoping the roads aren't too bad.

    Everyone have a great day.

    There I was....
    Minding my own business...
Moving some fresher compost from one bin to the next, when....

I detected movement in the compost. RODENTS! Of the mouse collective. Bottom line - 10 bodies piled up on a rock for whatever scavenger that happens by.

I took pics but didn't want to post them in a family oriented thread. PM me should you want to view the carnage.

Good afternoon all. The doors are all on us. The back door needs a bolt put in the track to keep it on He keeps forgetting to pick one up. He recently put latches on the inside of the doors but forgot to latch them Mark.
What did you kill the rodents with Mark.
It is 45* here with clear blue skies. NO precipitation. Yea.
    Have a great day all.

Good afternoon! Currently 48F and sunny. Got out on the skid steer to move lots of pallets, totes and racks while the ground was still crispy. Good thing the lights are fairly bright! Working on finishing payroll to keep the masses happy and prevent mutiny. Found a tree service that will let me cut his logs on his property so I made weekend plans. BIL is celebrating his birthday so we're gathering at the in-laws tonight. Have a God day!

Evening all. Well, the trip down island got cancelled two hours in. I had left early but the snow started to pile up. Half way there, we were on track to be on time if the road conditions stayed the same BUT two tractor trailer trucks managed to block a hill that was on the only access to the community we were headed for. They did have talk about plowing out a logging road for a detour but I was in the car not the truck. So we turned back and arrived home to sunshine and melting snow. Mom did enjoy seeing all the snow and I enjoyed having the highway to myself which sort of clued me in that there was a problem. Fortunately someone who turned around and was heading back, flagged us down and told us about the problem before we got to the problem. Try again in the new year.

Good morning everyone! Husband got up on the roof yesterday and pushed the pine needles off. His first time, I usually do it. He did fine, didn't fall off.
I think I'll do some cutting today. I have some lengths of pin oak in the driveway.
Swimming of course, too. My belly is getting smaller but the weight loss has plateaued.

That is great when hearing about others who take the time to help others; even just to let them know the road is blocked ahead. So now you get to look forward to another trip but hopefully the weather will be better.

I cut a little more wood yesterday. It is good to be in the woods cutting. I did find several trees down, probably from the wind.

Been up since 2;30 ish AM west coast time, its a balmy 32 degrees in the PNW at this time, went downtown mailed some CHRISTmas cards at about 3:20 am, did get a email from a buddy of mine that flew helicopters for us, 68 vn. He's doing great, still flying, has his own air photo business, he's a great guy, quite the character. Its frozen pretty hard out there, after the rain, the moon came out, then she froze down good. This will help to keep the snow up on the passes for a little while longer. Its been raining for quite some time here, but, as i always say, ''we really need the rain''.
