I can't see a signature...plus I only have two! Two over there...two in the garage...two in the car...two on the bench...two under the bench...
This got slightly crushed by a skidder...broke the locater pin thingy for the fuel tank off the crankcase.....no biggie was getting ready to put new crankcase in this afternoon but there's scoring on the piston and the intake side of the cylinder has that grey death look....this will be going in a box and back to customer...he asked about mods while I was in there...NOT!!
i mean its not much....but it started and i can tell by the saw that its been run hard...not gonna bother with leak test or hooking it up,im done with it...people think they can get their broken worn out abused chit fixed and itll be like new
Well, they could, just costs a few extra doll hairs to the tech that wants to fix it. Heavy hitters would be a short block and piston, if that one isn’t salvageable.
Id be interested in what the common tool says about that saw. Scoring on the intake to me says straight gas. And is there a skidder alarm?
This maybe should be on the Bench thread, but I have this Dolmar PS 540 on the bench. I though it pretty cool to have these intake gasket locator pins.
i read it again after and made the distinction. Left it hang to see if there was a skidder alarm. I read on another forum the 772xp will have it.
Very nice bar and saw! Maybe he'll bring me one or five of those, but I need to get a bigger stocking then.
