Has a delivery over the weekend to a repeat customer from last year. I unload on their paved driveway and the five of them fill garbage pails to carry to the stacking area. I thought it was rather cool and asked to take a pic. The mother was carrying lose splits. Those are dead black locust splits so they had to be heavy. Stacked in the side yard.
Very cool, Brad, glad you shared the pic. Nice to see affluent folks that will even venture outside and do anything manual! Their assembly line is awesome!
Stacking is my least favorite part of the process but the one that the family always jumps in and helps with. My wife and 9 year old daughter being there makes the time fly by. What's great is, no computers/tv/phone to distract so real conversations can be had...
How many cord do they move that way? It's always fun for the first cord, after 4 or 5 cords not so much. Noce looking garage they have there. I've taken my Harley through that town on my way down to Branford HD, that's some nice neighborhoods down there.
I jokingly asked if they wanted to come to my storage and do some stacking for me. Nobody said yes! They did the same thing last year when i delivered the loads.
They had other wood in their stacking area. Dont know if he scrounged it or not. It was in a nicer neighborhood.
Sweet! I have many fond memories of Judy, the 2 boys and me working together in the woods and around the house.
