I no what you mean. I force myself to stay up until at least 11 or 12 in hopes of at least sleeping until 4am. It does get old.
Oh yeah, lots of them. I pushed a lot of heavy snow today; not wet sticky snow, just heavy wind driven snow!
Limited vision is the largest concern. Backing is another concern. If it is snowing and blowing and dark like it was this morning, you're taking a huge chance when cleaning up the driveway entrance. Some drivers have that "magic button" on the dashboard of their SUV and just drive too fast...... I keep waiting for rottiman to show up with his Kubota/snowblower setup, but he must always stop off somewhere along the way!
Just put a yellow strobe on your plow rig that gives you a license to back out into the roadway without caring.
My Mom used to serve whipped cream over hot gingerbread. Really good. Haven't had that since I was a kid. Memories
Been wanting to ask you how many BTU,s your mini split is and at what temp does it not want to heat as good?
I used to have a plow truck. Problem was everyone wanted their yards done. Freebee. (realatives) I got so I wouldn't go out while the storm was bad. Then wouldn't go after dark. Finally sold the truck and plow. That is when I got a new snow blower that I only used a short time. A fall ruined my ability to get around. Now my son lives here and does the snow removal with his truck and ATV.
Ideally, I would prefer a tractor with front mounted snow blower. Its on the list. No snowbanks to deal with.
It is a Fujitsu 15,000 BTU single zone high seer wall mounted system. I got it from Central Maine Heat Pumps Benton Me. They did all the paper work I needed and submitted it to the state for my rebate. We haven't had any weather that it doesn't do a good job heating or cooling. However, when that times comes, I have a gas furnace, new, energy efficient, and I have a p68 pellet stove. With just the pellet stove alone, we have never been cool here. If anything, too warm. wife likes it 76 t0 80 F. Over 72 and I am taking off clothing. My area is not so warm as where she sits.
We get a lot of snow on my area and my neighbors love to play with their plows. If there is a big storm, someone is around that could help out. ... I got a blade and chains for my lawn tractor, that seems to work ok.
Thanks. I hear a lot of good things about them and that they are not to bad on the power bill. Something I may look into for my living room.. I'm getting old and cold.
