Welcome to my world - although usually it is 2-3 am that I wake up. Sleeping in is 4:30. During the work week I set an alarm but never need it. Doesn't matter how late I stay up, I wake up in the wee hours of the morning.
Morning, 3 am the wind has been bananas for a few hours, sounds like it's going to blow the house away. No idea how those two are sleeping through this! And bogieb , the flame in the new stove has gone tall to short and back and forth in high winds previously - it's pretty steady high tonight The sooner the new room addition is framed and boarded in the better, I forgot how eerie it was to sit next to flexing 3 pane glass and have the retracted blinds swinging like we are on a boat. Crud, some EPS just laid today with lumber laid on top just blew away WOW it's crazy! things flying by, 40's outside and what appears to be snow too.
News article said up to 80 mph, guess they were right about that, but they did not mention snow at 40* .
Crazy wind. I am not a wind lover and perhaps that is a reason I don't live in the west. I remember when we went to AZ for winters and could count on strong wind weekly. Nasty.
O we had a beast feast last night for brew club meeting! I smoked two roasts one top round and one bottom roast. When smoked right there amazing!!!
I got home about 9:30 after meeting friends out at a local brewery. Turned the tv on, laid down on the couch, and fell asleep. Similar to what you did, but I got up at 4am. Up since and I'll probably take a nap this afternoon.
Wyoming sure is windy. If you are impressed by the wind, that's definitely saying something. It's windy here this am, it wasn't that bad last night but it is much more constant wind now this am. Snow it's supposed to move in this am as well
LOL, if you adjust for population density, Massachusetts would seem to be a fairly windy place to live. https://www.city-data.com/top2/c467.html Of course, this is a cities list and not a places list. But there are those that would use it as a data source like they do with "best Place To Live "and "Worst Place to Live" type of lists. Do people actually move based on many of these faulty yarns ?
Cleaning gutters, might split some locust and clean up scrap wood I'm not using Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I got out with the family to pick up a Christmas tree this afternoon. We went to a cut-your-own farm near our house. That was the easiest tree I have cut down all year. Santa was hanging around and looked like he needed a drink. We got some good pictures and were grateful to have found such a nice tree. We started decorating but, before long, we got interrupted by dinner. The dog ate the pop-poms off of a stocking, so everyone got to have some fun.
