I have a lot of nature around this lot, it even has fox, coyotes, deer, racoons, woodchucks, skeeters, black flies, salamanders, frogs, toads, several varieties of woodpeckers, turtles, turkeys, fisher, mink, beaver, skunks, fish, eels, there might even be a bear other than me that wonders through it from time to time,as well as other sundry critters and such. See; Maine, the way life should be.

This morning I finally got around to dumping some good sized rocks into the hole that opened up in the driveway that someone thought could be taken care of by some crushed gravel. If he had put something in the hole before the gravel it might have worked. The time the box culvert was opened up two times ago I donated a rather large plastic tarp to put fill onto after the culvert slabs were reset. The next time I wasn't home when they opened the culvert up and the party that did it didn't have any clue what they were doing.

I also placed an order for some spices at nuts.com, last time I ordered from them was in 2009 and they had changed their domain name and I couldn't remember my password and my secure wallet wouldn't cough it up so I had to reset it. Anyway they will be here on Thursday the same day my oil eater gets its cleaning, a new oil filter, and checkup. Fast approaching fuel bunkering time.

The rain has moved in, big storm. Was 71 f in here, but wife saw it was in the low 60 's out. So with two exhaust fans running, she has the stove going. It is running as low as I can get it, but now 80f in here. I will say the dampness is gone and the wife isn't crabbing. .
Severe thunder storm west of us with flash flooding warnings. Maybe I'll get lucky and we loose power for a while so I don't have to have the tv on.

We got a pile of t-storms. I have to upright an apple tree that started to come out of the ground. Hope it recovers. I've had good luck whenever this situation happens. The tide is in at the brook and plenty of water going over the dam.

Well the apple tree is upright and likely none the worse for its experience. It has also had a pile of weight removed and we have a bushel+ of apples to make sauce out of. That appears to be the only aftereffect of the storm.

Speak for yourself. I wouldn't be caught in people mode. They always do what a bear wants, I think it is their self preservation mode in operation.

Not from these apples too early not enough sugar to ferment and they will take some time to cook for sauce.
