After seeing repeated temps posted in the negative thirties and forties, seems kind of insignificant to post temps from around here. Still, went from doing tractor work yesterday (high of 39 degrees) to waking up this morning with a few inches of snow and a balmy 22 degrees. Think I'm done with the yard work until after next spring's mud season...

47 out. Warm enough to go for a run before work. Burning a few small elm and pine splits.

Yeah, I thought perhaps Thanksgiving had an effect. Maybe it is because you and I aren't posting enough or maybe not starting more threads. Maybe we can fix part of that?

It was warm when I got up and still warm; 49 here. Temperatures starting to drop slightly in the north and that is expected to happen all over by mid-day along with some stiff wind.

Falling, yes, But not too bad. Right after the weekend we'll be dropping to below zero. That'll get some ice on the lake!

Snow started just before my walk and has continued since.

I see the snow the Grand Rapids/Lansing area got over the weekend has alredy vanished. Good, not the best drivers down there anyway.....

Yes, we got maybe 1.5" with the first shot and around 5" for the second shot. A lot melted yesterday but still had snow last night. This morning only small patches left because it did warm overnight along with more rain.

IMG_20211202_131708974.jpg I thot were had some national emergency or sumthin. Grid went down ???
Y'all were busy having a life or ??
I enjoy seeing everyone's temps and project's ect.
We only get around 5 hours of sunup here right now. bein off grid . With no TV or radio. Who knows what could happen and we would be clueless. Until the wife went to work . Now that I've reverted back to being a homesteader :bug::thumbs:
Currently around 12 below ambient. Fkws in the stove. Wife is cooking taco meat on the woodstove. Not sure how accurate my laser temp gun is , it shows the stove top temp @ 675 ° F. Meat is frying real Good ! Smells delicious !!
Today's task was a success. I installed a lower radiator hose heater in the snogo this afternoon. 600 watt. It seems to work GREAT. 40 minutes plugged in and the base of the jugs outside is 70 ° F. Outside of the bottom coolant hose is 190+°

It’s been in the 70’s and we had the driest November in 90yrs and the two closest mountains to me have burned. Maybe get a cool down and precipitation next week.
Burning oak this morning and the living room feels like a sauna just like the wife likes it. I’m going to work outside where it’s cooler.

We had a cold spell. then it got mild again. I am through a half cord of elm, and now into some maple and ash that I let sit in rounds in the weather for almost too long. Real light almost punky stuff. Mixing some good ash in with that.
I hope the 8 ash trees I am going to have dropped this week haven't gone too far. Hopefully this tree service actually shows up, unlike other guys. Had estimates anywhere from 600 to 2500. All the lower ones never showed or called, and I can't get them to return calls or messages. This guy settled down to 1100.

Same here. The 3" of snow we received Wednesday night was only partially melted by the little bit of rain yesterday (temps wavered around 33 degrees). Now everything is just a frozen mess with temps in the mid 20's.

How are the winds up your way? They are definitely kicking here today.
