    I'll let @SmokeyTheBear answer.

I remember him saying they lie a lil, But last years(mostly black) was pretty much spot on!

I saw this one grab a suit case and board a flight heading south.

Depends on if it is a native or from away. If it is from away don't believe anything it tells ya.

I've seen black and brown ones, brown and black ones, all brown ones, and all black ones. So far torture hasn't yielded any residency information.

A couple a Mainer's calling another state strange? :jaw: :bug:

    :loco:

Its not a state lake. Its MDC property and controlled. Once school starts they close the boat launch and beaches. Mainly due to the work force being summer opportunity jobs for school/college students. MDC doesn't carry a large enough staff to handle the area without the students. The lake is still fish-able, But only from shore. Officially closes the end of November.

We like it because its kind of like a private lake and there are no ski boats or jet ski's. And it holds very nice bass! We have 5 other lakes within 30 minutes from the shack. But they don't hold a candle to the fishing of this lake. Heck I live on a lake and I'd rather travel to lake McD. BTW, Not one house on lake McD!

Ya know the saying is Maine, the way life should be, not, MDC the way life should be.

I guess it could be worse subsailor, if it was someone from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts was telling us Mainers we are strange.

It must be true. I read it in the paper last week. Headline said "Smokey the Bear turns 70" and it showed his picture.

Ok you win. Don't know where my head was when I read that. Must have been while I was reading about the bats. Had them in my head. Ugh!

We have lots of those up here. The hunting/fishing camp I go to is the only camp on that pond.

Here about every lake has been built on. Once weekend cottages, Now are permanent homes. Hard to see nature unless you go to a state park or recreation area in my neck of the woods.

A long day at work. Out schedule bumped up a day (by our own choice). That means working a couple more hours a day, but that also means heading home Thursday night instead of Friday night. If all goes according to plan, myself and the coworker I'm with will be taking the ferry across Lake Michigan from Milwaukee to Muskegon, MI Thursday night. That would beat the h*ll out of having to drive through Chicago again. (No offense intended toward anyone who lives in the greater Chicagoland area).
