The elite 36 was professionally installed on the 15th of Nov. I have followed the owners guide to break in fires and as of today I’m wondering what I have to do with this stove to get it to burn in a black firebox.

long story short, first off, I miss my IS like crazy. After years of perfecting long hot burns I am back to the drawing board. I have moved from MA to NH and the the only condition my wife asked from me in a stove was that it had to be a built in for new construction. I chose the Travis industries elite 36 because of the combustor. However the stove lacks in decent burn times, even with the air control all the way down and the catalyst lit, the firebox still shows flames.
Has anyone with the same stove had any luck in closing down the air further and gotten longer burn times? Before I start getting into research and test mode I’d like to hear from other 36 elite owners.
