    Yes, it has been on the news and our hearts go out to those affected. Fixing all the damage will no doubt take a long time. It is so sad to hear about people stranded on top of a house and to think about all the animals. Terrible.

    Yesterday was a windy day. We did not get much snow and the ground is still not frozen as we have had very little freezing weather and even when we get freezing, it gets above in the daytime. I remember heading out to hunt a few mornings ago. It was dark and cold. Walking across the sand felt strange because it was frozen. Yet within just a couple hours it was above freezing again and walking across my little field it was muddy.

    Good morning everyone! Today is a big day! Husband and I will be driving to Maine, and meeting mat60 to help pick out his rescue cat! I will take pics of the adoption for sure.

    Cool and clear after an overnight cold front pushed through.

    There's only half a full moon out right now. That's due to the partial lunar eclipse. Very cool.

    I'll be cleaning leaves from the gutters this morning. Then off to do some grocery shopping.

    Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. Had to go on a road trip yesterday morning early. Drove about 65 miles for our friends we do the yard work for, took the dump trailer and picked up 100 bales of long needle pine straw for them. Got the yard work done for them Wednesday, then had time to go hunting, did get a nice doe. Saw 9 that evening. Getting better at using the phone and binoculars, these were 225 yds away. 1117211739a.jpg

    They are a MESS, for sure. We have 1 older guy, his sister decided she liked my sister's house better, so she moved up there but left her 2 kittens for us...lol...and the other sister cat disappeared, she left 3 for us. So we feed 6...

    Good morning! Cloudy and 34F at the moment. Had to be at the hospital at 5:45 this morning for wife's colonoscopy. It was just a routine checkup and doctor said everything looked great. Praise the Lord! She's home resting and I'm thinking about lunch. I took the day off so I'll head outside this afternoon and see what I can get into. Have a God day!

    Mark got his cat! A female kitten. He's been up since 3A, said he felt like he was having a baby.
    The kitten had only been in the shelter since Monday, and was very friendly. She started exploring as a soon as she got home. We left them to bond!
